Challenge

Client needed a group of Design Changes evaluated independently for adequacy of Design Verification.

Actions

• Put together 5-year change history for specified components.
• Evaluated all changes for impact to Product requirements, Design specifications, Product design, and Risk Analysis.
• Evaluated adequacy of Design Verification for those changes that qualified as Design Changes.
• Created detailed report of evaluation, and presented findings to Customer’s Management.

Results

• Confirmed adequacy of Design Verification for the specified Design Changes.
• Identified and presented opportunities for improvement in overall Design Change process.
